St Mark's is a church in the Anglo-catholic tradition of the Church Of England, part of the Deanery of Mansfield in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.
We aim to be an inclusive community of Christians and welcome all who enter our doors, This is shown through our work with local toddlers and young mothers, local schools, our Boys' Brigade Company and in our practical and prayerful support for homeless people.
We aspire to show God's radical love and acceptance to all in our community
IMPORTANT UPDATE: St Mark's Toddlers Group
'For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven' (Ecclesiastes 3: 1)
With great regret, I have to tell you that at the PCC Meeting on 3rd December 2025 it was decided to close the Toddlers Group with immediate effect. After 17 years of wonderful service to our community, numbers attending had become so low (sometimes no one at all), finding helpers was becoming increasingly difficult, and overheads were becoming more expensive that it was felt that this decision had to be made.I remain convinced that the Toddlers Group has been one of the most important ways that we at St Mark's have reached out to serve the wider community.
While it is sad that this has come to an end, I'd like to thank God and all who have been involved for the years of fun, friendship, and support that the Toddlers Group has given to so many people. But I am also convinced that we must face the future withhope, and aim to discover how God may be asking us to serve those around us in the coming weeks, months, and years. Let us pray that God will reveal to us the green shoots of promise and hope as we move into 2026!
